The benefits of psychotherapy are plenty, and obtaining help is always a sign of strength and not weakness. Therapy can help us identify thoughts, emotions and behaviors that have limited our ability to embrace life to the fullest.
The transformation of those mental and emotional patterns can empower us to respond to the complexities of life more effectively.
Taking care of our mental health and having someone to listen and support us makes such a difference while we are navigating new ways of being.
One of the unexpected characteristics of the coronavirus pandemic was how it highlighted surging levels of mental health crises that people were experiencing around the globe. Therapy offers connection when we are feeling disconnected.
Breaking free from limiting beliefs
Often the starting point is working towards self-acceptance and awareness, and the goal is greater understanding, clarity, and resolution. Rather than focus on the problems, we emphasize the solutions and the pathways to get there.
Breaking free of limiting beliefs, that reduce our capacity to actualize our potential, leads to inner peace, creativity, and empowerment. This enhances our self-esteem and confidence, helping us to meet challenges more successfully.
When we learn to take responsibility for ourselves and our lives, we paradoxically experience wholeness and freedom from limitations on the journey of self-discovery and wellness.
As a general psychotherapist and hypnotherapist, my intention is to help you access the power of your own inner resources (which many of us don’t realize we have). The blend of psychotherapy with spirituality is a holistic approach to therapeutic healing, utilizing many skills and tools to effect positive change.
As a catalyst for your healthy development, I am dedicated to assisting you in learning new skills to manage life’s challenges that help you feel in control of your life. To put you back in the driver’s seat.
Some of the issues that we might encounter are:
Hypnotherapy is one tool that is highly effective in accelerating our healing process and for eliminating habits that are interfering with life. In a deeply relaxed state of mind, we connect with the vastness of the unconscious mind to explore and release the patterns that have created issues for us.
As both a perinatal health consultant and a psychotherapist, my work also specializes in the psychology of parenthood, the psychophysiology of birth and the postpartum period, healing birth trauma, and prenatal / postpartum (perinatal) anxiety and depression.
With increasing frequency clients come for counseling to reconcile previous birth experiences that have left scars that hinder the joyous anticipation of subsequent children.
How I work
